How to Apply for Pakistani Visa:

Visa can applied either online E-VisaPortal or by visiting Pakistan embassy in respective country.

How to Apply for Pakistan Visa through the E-visa portal?

• Passport (Jpeg format not more than 500kb)
• Passport size Picture (White Background)
• Letter of invitation from a travel company (Jpeg format not more than 500kb)
• CNIC of Directory (Provided by Tour company along with LOI)

Step 1

Go to the Pakistan E-visa Portal and make registration. For this click the “Tourist Visa” button under “Visa Categories”. It will lead you to the info page about tourist visas. If you click “Apply now”, you’ll be prompted to create a new account or log in to an existing account.

Step 2

Once registered you can start your application. You must keep an hour for this as it may take an hour or more to fill all the forms. Most of the questions are unnecessary but you have to fill the entire form.

Step 3

Once you’ve finished your application, it’s time to pay. The visa cost varies from nationality to nationality, you can pay with Visa or MasterCard. Sometimes payment got rejected due to system issue but you may try 4-5 times and it will be accepted

Step 4

Once you have paid and payment is done you have to submit the application again else the application will remain open and it will not be processed. When you will submit you will get the email for submission of the application.

The e-visa portal states it takes 5-7 working days for a visa to be approved, but turnaround can be much faster. If you haven’t heard anything after 7 working days, contact them directly via the e-visa portal. It’s possible they need additional documentation from you.

Pakistan started using an e-visa system in 2019. Nationals of 179 countries are eligible for the e-visa. Here is what we found out so far.

VISA Free Countries:

Citizens from Iceland (90 days), Maldives (90 days), Nepal (30 days), Samoa (30 days), Tonga (unlimited) and Trinidad & Tobago (unlimited) can enter visa-free. In addition, visa is not required for holders of a Pakistan Origin Card (POC) or a National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistani (NICOP).

Visa on arrival:

Nationals of 50 countries can make use of visa on arrival. Beware, you cannot simply turn up at the airport. At least 48-72 hours before arriving to Pakistan, you must apply online to receive an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA). This is not the visa, it merely authorizes you to apply for the visa on arrival at the border.

Processing time: ETA: 48 hours is standard, but significant delays have occurred, similar to the e-visa.

• Validity of the visa is from 1 month up to 2 years. Time inside the country is 30 days.

Business visa on arrival:

A business visa on arrival is valid for nationals of 95 countries. The conditions are the same as for the tourist visa on arrival, but additionally you will need an invitation from a company in Pakistan or a recommendation from the Chamber of Commerce of your own country.

Visa Extension Process:

If you are planning to extend your visa you can apply online visa extension by same web portal where you applied for Pakistan Visa. You will be asked to submit Sponsor letter for visa extension and we can provide you that letter.
